Unarmed Security Flex Officer Job Description:
Oatridge Security Group is looking for aSecurity Flex Officerto join its rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate for this position has some experience working security, has a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and has their own vehicle.Our Security Flex Officers need to have flexibility in their schedule; able to take shifts on short notice, with primary availability on weekends (Friday through Monday) and overnights.This position requires individuals that possess self-discipline, a good work ethic, and punctuality.
Unarmed Security Officers must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test. Candidates should have a clean driving record, be well groomed, articulate, dependable, and be a team player. The Officer does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer and has no arrest or apprehension powers. The work is performed outdoors and indoors.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior military, civilian, or security officer experience preferred but not required.
Required Skills, Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training material.
• Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty up to the standards of OSG.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Detect, deter, and report crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
• Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner.
• Will arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform with any necessary equipment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays and be on call
• Work approximately 24-48 hours per week, based on business needs
• Provide Security for new sites until permanent Security Officers can be hired.
• Fill in for officers who are on vacation/sick/no call-no show.
• Will carry out general and special orders for assigned post.
• Will communicate via radio, telephone and in-person, according to orders.
• Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and assigned equipment.
• Meet, greet, and interact professionally with clients and the general public.
• Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
• Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English.
• Read, speak, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials in English.
• Must be comfortable turning away trespassers, loiterers, and transients (who might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol) on the client's property from a safe distance away.
