Description

R&D Financial Analyst is a business partner for our Global Molecular Research and Development and Global Medical Affairs teams to support the performance monitoring, the budget process & strategic planning, as well as the portfolio process for this growing business. This dynamic role also performs tasks related to the month-end close process, and works closely with the accounting team during the accounting and budget cycle.

Primary Duties:

  • Supports budget, forecast and strategic plan processes for the Global Molecular R&D and Medical Affairs teams.
  • Collaborates with senior management and department heads to support consistent and accurate reporting for R&D budgets. Work with HR business partners to build and monitor the workforce budget.
  • Leads monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process for R&D and Medical Affairs. Ensure that financial rules and procedures are followed by the business and are in line with corporate processes.
  • Collaborates with accounting team to complete day-to-day business processes.
  • Supports analysis and reporting for R&D and Medical Affairs scope, including project analysis, and provide ad-hoc reporting to support management in decision-making.
  • Supports the R&D team with preparation of project budgets, cost proposals, and forecasts for R&D related activities.
  • Support the tax team with the R&D Tax Credit Analysis.
  • Supports R&D grant cost proposals, financial reporting, and audits when grants are received.
  • Participate in global finance initiatives.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

Training and Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in the Finance/Accounting field with experience or knowledge in financial planning & analysis.
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills necessary.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.
