Financial Analyst

Position Summary

General responsibilities include Business Unit (BU) financial reporting support, performance analysis, reporting systems development and maintenance for the BU along with support for other financial reporting activities and special projects undertaken by the BU. This position is also responsible for SAP general ledger activity for the BU. The position reports to the Sr. Manager of Finance.

This will include coordination and consolidation of reporting, forecasting and budget planning and analysis.

Standard Duties:

• This position works closely with both the Finance and GSM team in the Plant and Business Unit.
• Accountable for timely and accurate month-end closing and forecasting.
• Work with purchasing team to input and review the GSM supplier cost reduction tracking system, for new part numbers, price changes, new vendors and other updates to the database.
• Management of the supplier commodity pricing database and integration supplier database.
• Monthly reporting of supplier savings and commodity pricing.
• Weekly and monthly freight analysis.
• Management of customer paid tooling process including working with GSM and Sales to ensure compliant documentation of the tools in alignment with customer requirements to ensure timely submission for payment from the customers.
• Management of supplier and customer contracted capacity database.
• Assist with ad hoc financial projects as requested.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 1-3+ years' experience in finance or accounting (including internships)
• SAP experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, etc.
• Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work extended hours when necessary specifically during month-end, quarter-end and budget/LRP time.
• Other activities - Assists with various ad hoc project work, reporting and other tasks as necessary.

Additional Information:

• Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

• Wear PPE when appropriate in designated campus areas.
• Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance required
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• HFM experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Highly driven/self-starter
