Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid
*Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 CAD annually

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial analysis for the Post Production division. Responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. As a financial analyst, you will also be responsible for assisting with monthly close processes.
MAIN DUTIES:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data and provide forecasting support, organizing data into accessible reports and performing various types of analysis using key metrics such as yearly growth, return on assets, return on equity and earnings per share. They will oversee financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control and project control, as well as evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc. Additional duties include:

  • Study a company’s financial data to give advice for guiding business investments and overall financial strategy.
  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance.
  • Prepare reports and projections based on analysis.
  • Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
  • Provide and maintain financial models and forecasting.


WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have working experience in financial analysis, preferably within the entertainment industry, with a background in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics. They will be analytical, highly organized, and pay high attention to detail, also able to maintain a high degree of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality while able to adapt and multi-task as priorities change. Additional desired skills include:

  • Have an inquiring mind with a desire for growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Experience with database systems such as Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus.

*The listed pay range represents the lowest to highest range that we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, local currency exchange rates, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, applicable law, and business or organizational needs. 
The benefits for eligible part-time employees working 25 or more hours per week and full-time employees in the US include a comprehensive package of health, retirement, and insurance benefits and paid time off. The benefits for eligible project hires and part-time employees working less than 25 hours per week in the US include retirement, select insurance benefits, and where required by law, health benefits. For roles filled in Canada and other territories, local benefits plan offerings will apply.
