The Team:

The NAD Advertising Finance team is a part of Global Commercial Finance Capabilities (GCFC) and is responsible for tracking and planning NAD advertising and leading global advertising analysis and projects. We work with Marketing partners across all of Mattel’s Brands and Markets to ensure proper planning and tracking of advertising expense across the company. The team works on projects which have a direct impact on business decisions at the company.

The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the NAD Advertising Finance & GCFC team in El Segundo, CA. You will play an important role in tracking the advertising spend while closely collaborating with global marketing and finance teams. Your role includes supporting the systems that we use to plan and track advertising expenses as well as day-to-day management of advertising budgets. This position reports to the Manager, A&P Commercial Finance & GCFC.    

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • NAD:
    • Finance business partner: Business partnership to US Marketing & Media in relation to A&P budget and spend tracking
    • Assist in the coordination and management of monthly/quarterly close process for advertising 
    • Support the preparation and submission of NAD AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and Forecasts throughout the year

 

  • GCFC:
    • Perform ad-hoc global projects and analysis that arise throughout the year
    • Support the Global Advertising Planning system (Anaplan Platform). Coordinate with global stakeholders across the Finance/Marketing organizations to support the budget tracking process and keep the Anaplan platform updated
    • Act as key contact for a variety of global questions and problem resolution

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 
  • 3+ years relevant experience in a finance, accounting, auditing, or other analytical field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Anaplan, Hyperion, Oracle systems a plus
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data and to stay organized with mail communications
  • Understanding of financial and accounting concepts
  • Clear and transparent communication skills
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $88,000 and $110,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
