The Role
The Booking.com FP&A team is expanding and has exciting career opportunities opening up in several teams and across different levels. Below is a general description of job responsibilities of a Financial Analyst at Booking.com:
This position offers the opportunity to drive financial decision making within Booking.com. We are currently looking for an entrepreneurial Financial Analyst to be part of the dynamic and fast-paced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. In this role you will report to a Manager of the Accommodations Business Unit FP&A team. You will be working in our office in Amsterdam.

You will be required to provide strong financial and analytical support to your business unit (BU) or department's stakeholders. You will have to bridge what the data tells you and how that could help decision-making on a wide array of topics, specifically within the Pricing and Monetisation organizations in Accommodations BU.
You will be supporting the planning and forecasting cycles for both financial and operational business metrics. This includes revenues, expenses and other important KPIs for specific initiatives within the Pricing and Monetisation portfolios. You will also be involved in reporting versus budget and forecast and support on ad-hoc analyses whenever there is a need from the business.
Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role will evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and challenge yourself to take on additional projects and responsibilities as they present themselves.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Support with forecasting, variance analysis and reporting of financial performance of specific initiatives within the Pricing and Monetisation portfolios in the Accommodations BU;
- Contribute to robust, scalable and insightful reporting of the business unit or department's key metrics;
- Proactively deliver intelligence based on data to support and advise the FP&A team and/or business partners whenever necessary;
- Provide analytical support and contribute to strategic decision making, while partnering with key stakeholders in the business;
- Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize the existing reporting to fit with evolving requests from senior management;
- Perform ad-hoc analysis, scenarios and benchmarking as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or other related field (preferred) and 2-4 years' experience in a similar role;
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with high attention to detail and ability to connect the dots and reconcile multiple data sources;
- Strong communication skills and ability to present to different audiences;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with SQL, data mining, Microsoft VBA and reporting tools;
- Ability to understand, work with and proactively advise and influence senior business partners;
- Strong team-working skills with ability to work independently and comfortable working in cross-functional teams and working in an unstructured environment;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
