Job Description
Reliant Plumbing, a leading and innovative plumbing company in Austin, Texas, seeks a results-driven Controller to join our dynamic team. This role requires an individual who can blend strategic vision with the practical needs of day-to-day financial management. As the backbone of our financial operations, the Controller will ensure our company's financial health, enabling us to continue providing exceptional service to our clients while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:Oversee all company accounts and financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and legal guidelines. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
Strategy and Planning:Work closely with senior management to strategize on fiscal planning, cost analysis, and setting of financial goals. Provide insightful recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets, financial models, and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes.
Audit and Compliance:Lead internal audits to ensure the accuracy of financial information, adherence to fiscal policies, and identification of potential irregularities. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary.
Financial Controls and Procedures:Implement and monitor rigorous financial controls and procedures to safeguard the company’s assets. Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership:Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering an environment of professional growth, efficiency, and collaboration.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial leadership role, preferably within the construction, contracting, or home services industry.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and business plans.
• Strong understanding of tax codes, legal financial requirements, and industry regulations.
• Exceptional analytical, managerial, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ethical financial management practices and integrity in all actions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
