Job Description

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER Our Financial Controller reports to our Chief Executive Officer and manages the finance and accounting department of three direct reports (Sr. Accountant, Staff Accountant, and AR/Billing) of our organization. Our ideal candidate has experience managing an accounting team, professional level using QuickBooks, financial statements, cash flow analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, credit analysis, payroll, monthly and quarterly state and city taxes, experience in the home service industry (Septic, HVAC, Electrical, etc.), and isCPA license preferred but not required. Schedule:Monday – Friday Hours:8 AM – 5:00 PM Job Type:Full-time Pay:$115,000.00 - $130,000.00 Annually (DOE) Main Duties: • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple intercompany entities. • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow projections and analysis. • Manage month-end and year-end close, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and other journal entries. • Collaborate with CFO in proper and timely decision making. • Ensure compliance with accounting principles. • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. • Support external CPA firm in coordinating year-end financial statements. • Implement and maintain efficient accounting systems, policies and procedures as needed. • Supervise and mentor existing staff in accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. • Create month-end internal financial reporting after month-end closing.
