Job at a Glance The team is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to support the Finance & Tax department as part of the Finance COO – Data Office (FDO). The Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a strong data governance framework, resolving data quality issues, and driving data sourcing strategies. This position requires cross-functional collaboration across global teams and the ability to lead remediation efforts on data compliance and accuracy issues. Responsibilities • Lead the business line stream supporting Finance & Tax teams. • Analyze data issues, investigate anomalies from data quality checks, and propose and implement data sourcing structures. • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and processes for data strategy implementation. • Document existing and proposed workflows, identifying gaps and areas for improvement. • Support enhancement efforts of data control environment and upstream processes. • Lead the remediation effort over issues related to data sourcing, data inaccuracy, and data compliance. • Prepare and present issues to the relevant data governance bodies. • Ensure timely and quality delivery of assigned projects and activities. • Coordinate with stakeholders across locations including New York, New Jersey, Montreal, Mumbai, London, and Paris. Qualifications Required: • 7+ years of experience in IT audit (external or internal) and/or IT control framework management in financial services. • Strong self-direction and ownership of projects. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in business processes and data analytics. • Knowledge of accounting and general ledger structures. • Experience with business analysis, data sourcing and management, business/functional specification, and application testing. • Understanding of financial products, system architectures, and accounting business processes (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, regulatory reporting, multi-currency accounting). • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly. • Experience working in global cross-functional teams. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power Platform. • Familiarity with project management tools, JIRA, and SharePoint. Preferred: • Fluency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese. • Knowledge of tools such as robotics, Alteryx, BI, AI, etc. About the Client The client is a global financial services organization with a robust international presence.
