Financial Reporting Manager

As the Financial Reporting Manager on the Accounting and Finance team, you will prepare and review the consolidated financials of the company, perform technical accounting projects, and ensure compliance with SOX reporting requirements.

This role will be based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX.

• Responsible for the preparation and review of the consolidated financial statements and notes to the financial statements, including public filings under SEC forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and any statutory filings.
• Analyze and document monthly fluctuations in balance sheet and income statement activity
• Offer technical oversight and guidance on accounting for complex transactions and new accounting standards, including the accounting standards
• Partners with others in Accounting, Finance, Legal, and other internal and external parties to ensure the accuracy of all financial statement disclosures
• Assists with various financial month end close activities, including the review and approval of journal entries
• Coordinates and interacts with the company’s external auditors
• Draft and maintain Sarbanes Oxley control documentation related to financial reporting
• Prepares internal management reports including executive reporting packages

• CPA with a minimum 4-6 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
• Bachelor of Science or BBA/MPA in Accounting or equivalent; MBA a plus
• Public Accounting and/or Public company/IPO experience preferred (Oil & Gas or Mining industry a plus)
• Proficiency with large ERP systems and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting and Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) requirements
• Strong US GAAP experience required

• XBRL experience a plus (for review or outsourced tagging)
• Experience with DFIN Active Disclosure reporting software preferred
