RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a team player responsible for designing and developing instructional materials for use in interactive multimedia instruction (computer-based training, technology insertion in the classroom, internet/internet based training, and other technology platforms) for various Air Force financial information systems. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing needs, planning projects, designing and developing materials (including instructor led training, web-based training, web-based reference materials, job aids, etc.) as directed by the customer and coordinated with the Training Task Lead. The successful candidate should have at least six years of experience authoring programs, audio, graphics, video and animations and the desire continue to grow in the Air Force Financial Management community. Under general supervision, you will work closely with financial system process owners, other technical writers, process analysts, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of existing and future customer-facing educational products in support of the SAF/FMF AFFSO, AFAOC and DEAMS missions. You will contribute to multiple projects simultaneously to document technical and business processes.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to properly prioritize and multi-task. What you will be doing:

  • Work as part of an overall Instructional System Design and Development team to create a variety of curriculum products - with emphasis on computer-based training applications.
  • Create interactive multimedia instruction content outlines, flowcharts and storyboards that address written, visual and audio requirements.
  • Identify and plan appropriate technology-based instruction design strategies and objectives based on tasks, learner and subject matter expert analysis.
  • Utilize instructional design documents and state of the art tools to develop interactive multimedia instructional products.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer related field. No degree required if the person meets the qualifications and has at least 12 years experience.
  • Experience with and in-depth knowledge of Adobe Captivate software
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent knowledge and command of the English language and grammar usage
  • Hands-on experience with information/data gathering and data analysis
  • Ability to understand technical discussions to analyze and solve problems and to create documentation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines independently as well as part of a team

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), Captivate and ensuring all WBT materials are SCORM compliant
  • Knowledge of Air Force Financial Management systems, DEAMS and USAF Education and Training standards
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Patient and adept at working with customers with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Ability to pass NACI government background check (requires US Citizenship)
