Finish Carpenter (Austin)

The Premier Group is currently looking for finish carpenters of all levels to join our team to work on high-end, custom residential projects located inAustin, TXand surrounding areas. Apprentice Responsibilities • Assist in installing wire, grid, and acoustic tiles for suspended ceilings. • Support field setup, material handling, tool maintenance, and workshop safety. • Responsible for keeping and maintaining a clean workspace • Have a “can do” positive attitude • Be a self-starting, dependable individual • Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, with goal-oriented mindset for growth • Ensure that safety is paramount on all job sites Journeyman Responsibilities • All Apprentice duties, plus: • Install complex ceiling and wall systems—including wood, metal, demountable partitions, and specialty panels. • Cut and fit main runners, cross tees, and perimeter trim using hand and power tools. • Install suspension wires and ensure grid is level and properly anchored. • Fit and place ceiling tiles or panels into the completed grid. • Repair or replace damaged grid systems or tiles. • Read blueprints and specs, train apprentices, manage documentation, and flex scheduling as needed.
