POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates effectively, enjoys solving problems in the field, and is respectful of coworkers, clients, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate brings precision, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit to every project. You will work on a variety of unique, high-end residential projects, contributing to detail-driven construction while maintaining job site safety, quality, and efficiency.
REPORTS TO:
Superintendent, with oversight from Director of Production
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5 years of finish carpentry experience
• Must own a full set of finish carpentry tools (Axiom provides maintenance)
• Must pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Proficient with tools, materials, and established carpentry methods
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to deliver high-quality, code-compliant work
• Ability to work safely and efficiently on active job sites
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Experience with custom cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural millwork
• Familiarity with constructability problem-solving and maintaining design intent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor on site
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients
• Interest in mentoring junior carpenters and supporting team growth
• Proactive, with a strong focus on quality, scheduling, and client satisfaction
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Execute detailed finish carpentry work to meet design standards and project goals
• Read and build from plans and specifications with precision
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Collaborate with field and office teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Troubleshoot and resolve site issues while preserving design intent
• Assist with material take-offs, layouts, and daily task planning
• Uphold a high standard of professionalism, craftsmanship, and accountability
COMPENSATION:
Full-time, hourly position. Hourly rate: $40–$50/hour DOE
