Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Sustainability Software business unit is seeking talented and motivated Software development Manager working on the Sustainability Software Suite of products. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing a team enhancing & building new product capabilities. You’ll closely collaborate with the broader Product Management Design Development & Support team using Scrum agile methodology. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to IBM’s Sustainability Software Suite and help removes barriers to accelerating sustainability performance through the capture consolidation management analysis and reporting on environmental social and governance data.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Total experience of 9+ years
• 3+ years experience in leading/managing the software development and teams.
• 5+ years experience in developing software or SaaS products.
• 5+ years experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Be involved and take ownership of end-to-end delivery – from requirements understanding solution design estimation development testing and deployment
• Experience of working with various stakeholders such as product management design operations and support teams.
• Experience with software design architecture development and testing Java/J2EE applications.
• Experience in front-end development using JavaScript frameworks HTML TypeScript CSS
• Experience with database systems including SQL or NoSQL data stores• Experience with cloud-based technologies and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy best practices.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with people management.
• Uphold quality standards including reliability efficiency security maintainability and usability by applying best practice processes methodologies and tools
• Ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize under pressure.• Ability to work independently.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Learning (ML)
