This person will be both the face of the studio and the driving force behind coaching excellence. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Studio Manager + Head Trainer to oversee the daily operations of our studio. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for fostering a positive environment for both staff and clients. This role requires effective management of resources, staff training, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Studio Manager will play a crucial role in driving sales, managing inventory, and maintaining the overall success of the studio. The Role Asour Studio Manager + Head Trainer, you’ll oversee both business operations and the training floor. You’ll run the studio like a well-oiled machine, lead and mentor coaches, deliver a consistent set of weekly classes, and build our member community through events, outreach, and partnerships. We are seeking someone with the charisma to engage members, the organizational skills to manage staff and systems, and the vision to grow our studio. Key Responsibilities • Lead and supervise a team of employees/ coaches, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and set coaching standards • Oversee employee orientation, training, and development programs • Manage recruitment processes including interviewing and hiring new staff • Develop, manage and oversee coaching schedules and credential compliance • Lead 12–14 group classes per week • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote studio services and increase sales • Build community through member engagement, local partnerships, and events • Drive sales and marketing initiatives, including social media, outreach, and retention strategies • Track KPIs (revenue, retention, engagement) and report directly to ownership • Maintain exceptional customer service standards by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the studio environment • Lead daily studio operations, ensuring excellence in service, facility, and member experience • Partner with ownership to shape long-term growth and innovation What We’re Looking For • 5+ years of coaching experience (group fitness a plus) • Passion for fitness, community, and helping people achieve results • Proven experience in management or supervisory roles within retail or service industries • Strong organizational, administrative and time-management skills; thrives in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities • Experience with sales, marketing, and local partnerships • Certified trainer (NASM, NSCA, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent; CSCS preferred) • Degree in a fitness-related field a plus Compensation & Benefits • $90,000-$110,000 base salary (DOE) • Eligible for an annual, discretionary bonus of up to 20–30% of base salary, based on individual and studio performance We invite qualified candidates who desire to make a real and lasting impact on our studio and the health of our South Bay community to apply for this opportunity.
