A primary role of R&U is to support and enhance Caterpillar’s dealer network, which is a competitive strength and the critical way in which we serve our customers. TheRental & Used Fleet & Financial Data Consultantis responsible for focusing on driving sustainable growth through deep understanding of our customers and dealers by defining and providing exceptional support of our processes and tools. What You'll Do The Rental & Used Fleet & Financial Data Consultant is the data expert supporting Rental & Used fleet & financial insights. The role will support the Rental Strategy through management of rental fleet reporting process, provide timely and accurate data analysis for our Field and Leadership Teams, and develop and improve existing fleet & financial reporting capabilities to measure progress toward our strategic goals. • Report monthly dealer fleet and financial metrics. • Prepare and present Quarterly Financial Reviews with Rental Leadership Team. • Work with Cat dealers to leverage data and standardize monthly & quarterly. • Leverage Agile project management in development of tool & reporting needs for the Rental & Used organization. • Interpret data, develop modeling, provide insights in support of Rental & Used initiatives, e.g., Rental Fleet Planning & Analysis, Rental Profitability Analysis, Operational Excellence, Rapid Improvement Workshops. • Complete ad-hoc analysis as needed to support the Rental & Used organization and our business partners. • Lead data and analytics training to support the Rental & Used organization and our business partners. What You Have (Core Skills) • Customer Focus:Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions for customer growth and success. • Industry Knowledge:Knowledge of the heavy equipment industry or dealer networks along with trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. • Decision Making and Critical Thinking:Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. • Effective Communications:Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact across all levels of the organization from team members to executive management. • Relationship Management:Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. • Value Selling:Ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate offerings that address clearly understood customer needs. Top Candidates Will Also Have • Experience in the Rental and/or Used Equipment industry • Experience developing Power BI and Dashboard Insights • Proven ability to influence without authority • Data and analytics experience: ability to understand data, drive insights and utilize to act and drive solutions. • Bachelor’s degree Additional Details • Work location: Irving, TX • Travel domestically up to 25% of the time to dealer sites for trainings and consults • This position requires working onsite five days a week Summary Pay Range:$126,000.00 - $189,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
