Flex Unarmed Security Officer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Flex Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role involves a variety of security tasks, including The Flex Officer will be expected to adapt to different assignments and locations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism in all situations. Responsibilities • Monitor premises through regular patrols • Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies while maintaining a calm demeanor. • Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all individuals on-site. • Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks or breaches. • Collaborate with law enforcement when required, ensuring effective communication and coordination. • Manage conflicts effectively by employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations. • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes. Schedule: No Set Schedule Must have open availability Duties: • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence • Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage • Provide customer service to the general public • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and for important occurrences. • Communicate with local fire and police, Overton Management, SOC and the customer. • Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees, coworkers, etc… • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. • Work and train at many locations • Availability for overtime is preferred Experience & Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Have a current TXDPS Level 2 Unarmed (Non-Commission) Guard Card Have adequate English communication skills, both oral and written Have the ability to utilize wireless technology via mobile applications Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards Must have a neat and professional appearance and hygiene standards Must have flexible and weekend availability Must be able to pass a background check Must be able to conduct foot patrols during the assigned shift Additional Notes: Overton Protective Services (OPS) EOE Texas License #B24069701 #OvertonS Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits: • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8-hour shift • Weekends, holidays Education: • High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: • Security: 2 years (Required) Language: • English (Required) License/Certification: • Guard Card (Required) Shift availability: • Day Shift (Required) • Night Shift (Required) • Overnight Shift (Required) Work Location: In person For further information and job screening, call 800-343-1901 and ask to speak with a Recruiter.
