Job Description
We are seeking dependable and adaptableFlexible Transit Enforcement Officersto support the safety and security of transit passengers, personnel, and facilities. This role is suited for individuals seeking flexible scheduling with the potential for more consistent shifts after the first 30 days. Officers will be assigned to specific stations but must be prepared to redeploy to alternate locations based on operational needs.
Transit Enforcement Officers play a key role in maintaining public order, providing customer service, and responding to incidents, all while working in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.

Key Responsibilities:
β’ Maintain a professional, high-visibility presence at assigned transit stations.
β’ Be available forredeployment between stationsduring your shift as directed by Dispatch, Supervision, or Management.
β’ UtilizeLight Rail Vehicles (LRVs)to travel between stations for redeployment. Supervisor transport may be used if LRVs are unavailable.
β’ Patrol assigned locations to deter and report safety hazards, policy violations, and suspicious behavior.
β’ Enforce station rules, transit codes of conduct, and public safety regulations.
β’ Assist riders with questions, concerns, and directions in a courteous and helpful manner.
β’ Respond to emergencies including medical events, evacuations, and security incidents.
β’ Monitor escalators, elevators, and other conveyances, reporting operability and safety concerns.
β’ Complete accurate and timely reports documenting incidents, interactions, and enforcement actions.
β’ Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at both assigned and redeployed stations.
β’ Use assigned equipment responsibly and maintain professional conduct at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
β’ 21 years of age or older.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
β’ Must pass a background check and drug screening.
β’ High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Ability to stay calm and effective in high-pressure or high-traffic environments.
β’ Comfortable working outdoors and engaging with diverse communities.
β’ Willingness to accept flexible, variable schedules and locations.
β’ Familiarity with public transit systems is a plus.
Additional Details:
β’ Officers remain on the clock during station-to-station travel and are paid at the post rate.
β’ Mileage reimbursement is available if a personal vehicle is authorized for redeployment.
β’ Failure to report or comply with redeployment instructions may result in removal from shift and schedule.
β’ Shift consistency may increase based on reliability, performance, and operational needs.
