Floor Technician

JOB SUMMARY: The position of Waxer/Floor Care Person is responsible for stripping general flooring with proper equipment as needed. The Waxer/Floor Care Person conducts cleaning on all surfaces, within individual offices, restrooms and kitchens. The Waxer/Floor Care Person will have basic knowledge of wax applications and buffering equipment. The Waxer/Floor Care Person is responsible for the complete cleanliness of the floors and carpets and maintaining a professional appearance in the building. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Waxer/Floor Care Person's responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Scrub, strip, and wax hard surface floors. • Maintain carpets by shampooing and steam cleaning carpets. • Responsible for vacuuming and spot clean floors and carpets • Applies wax to floors and buffs them with a buffer. • Sweeping, mopping, and buffing hard surface floors, then scrubbing with scrubber. • Vacuum floors to prepare for carpet cleaning, apply if needed, extra cleaning fluid to carpeted surfaces to ensure standard clean results. • Maintain tools and equipment clean to ensure they are in working order following usage. • Requests cleaning supplies as needed. • Other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Able to communicate at functional level with Supervisor. • Must be knowledgeable in cleaning all types of floors and be able to use all floor machinery safely. • Must have at least one (1) year of experience as a Waxer/Floor Care Person. • Requires knowledgeable skills in treatment and maintenance of carpets and floor care. • Use cleaning materials and equipment according to safety guidelines Join our team as a Floor Technician where you can make a significant impact on the environment you help maintain!
