Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
  • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
  • An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
  • Must be willing to accept intermittent, on-call employment.
  • Work schedule may be irregular. The incumbent may be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:
  • ability to work alone, AND
  • ability to properly use special cleaning and sanitizing solutions, AND
  • ability to perform simple food handling techniques, AND
  • ability to work safely, AND
  • ability to serve multiple patrons at the same time, AND
  • ability to perform simple arithmetic to calculate patron bills and give change, AND
  • ability to take inventory, AND
  • skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages, AND
  • meet state/local age requirements (18 years old) for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment (PROJECTED APPOINTMENT DATE: 9/1/2024), AND
  • physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis, AND
  • physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, walk and reach on a constant basis.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is NOT in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will NOT be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.
