Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-orientedLicensed ElectricianwithForeman-level experienceto join our growing operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical installations, a proven ability to work independently, lead crews in the field, and a deep understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and project execution in fast-paced environments.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating with project management, managing crews, and ensuring all work is installed correctly, safely, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead electricians and apprentices on job sites, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to understand project scopes, schedules, budgets, and priorities.
• Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, one-line diagrams, and installation manuals.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including switchgear, panelboards, ATS systems, UPS systems, generators, conduit, wireways, lighting, and controls.
• Conduct QA/QC on all installations to ensure code compliance (NEC, NFPA, Title 24, etc.).
• Complete job site documentation including daily reports, redlines, change order input, and material takeoffs.
• Work collaboratively with inspectors, general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Mentor apprentices and junior electricians to support their development and maintain quality standards.
• Be available for occasional travel, overnight work, and extended stay assignments as required by project needs.
• Communicate field progress and issues clearly and consistently to office personnel.
• Participate in startup, commissioning, and customer training when required.
Required Qualifications
• Active California General Electrician License (State Certified).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial/industrial electrician, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, and general California electrical code compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair without prints, manuals, or documentation.
• Proficiency in planning daily work activities and managing material and tool needs.
• Competency using smartphones/tablets for field reporting, digital timecards, and communication.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Attributes
• Experience with generator installations, ATS/UPS systems, EMT/PVC/RGS conduit, and large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction.
• Experience in design-build and T&M projects.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining safety and quality.
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with backup power systems and permitting/inspection processes (e.g., MDAQMD, APCD).
• OSHA 10 Certification
required but OSHA 30 preferred.
