Job Description

SunPoint is a premier Public Adjusting company representing policyholders in major first party insurance claims. Our role is to advocate for policyholders when major disasters hit their home, business, or commercial property. See our website at www.sunpoint.us for more information about who we are and who we represent. We are seeking a Forensic Accountant to support insurance claim preparation and financial loss analysis. This role will work closely with our team and clients to assess financial damages related to property losses and disputes with insurers. The ideal candidate has experience in forensic accounting within the insurance or litigation space and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze business interruption claims, extra expense calculations, and other financial damages related to property losses. • Review and interpret insurance policies in relation to financial losses. • Prepare detailed reports, exhibits, and claim documentation for negotiations and litigation. • Collaborate with public adjusters, attorneys, and expert witnesses in building strong claims. • Provide expert testimony or deposition support when needed. • Assist clients in organizing financial records and supporting documentation for claims. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). · CFE, CFF, or similar designation is a plus. · Minimum five years of experience in forensic accounting, insurance claim analysis, or litigation support. · Strong knowledge of business interruption, property loss accounting, and insurance-related financial reporting · Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. · Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial findings to non-financial stakeholders. Salary $ 75,000 - $ 225,000 Commensurate with experience Employment packages include salary; medical, dental and vision plans; Flex Spending Accounts; 401K with 3% of employee’s annual salary value as company contribution regardless of employee contribution, paid time off.
