Founding Engineer

A Founding Engineer at Rove will be a pioneering leader in the fintech space primarily focusing on developing and overseeing the technology surrounding our card. This role involves working closely with our banking partners processors and card networks as well as leading the development of the Rove iOS application. A strong emphasis is placed on cybersecurity to ensure the utmost safety and privacy for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development and maintenance of api tunnels with banking processing and card network partners.
• Prioritize and implement advanced cybersecurity measures to protect customer data and transaction processes.
• Lead the development of a user-friendly mobile app for cardholders utilizing Swift SwiftUI and Python.
• Drive the overall technology strategy and ensure alignment with the company’s business goals.
• Manage a team of IT professionals and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in the fintech sector preferably with a focus on credit card services or similar financial products.
• Proven track record of successful technology leadership and team management.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Swift SwiftUI Python and other relevant programming languages.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices in the fintech industry.
• Experience with API development and management.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience in scaling technology for growing startups.
• Strong communication and leadership skills capable of inspiring a team.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including finance marketing and operations.

Additional Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a senior technology role ideally within a startup environment.
• A passion for innovation in the fintech space especially related to travel and credit cards.
