About OneSchema
We are a fast-growing startup backed by General Catalyst Sequoia Capital and Y Combinator. We see an incredible opportunity to be the de-facto data transfer platform for all industries that run on CSV files (hint: it’s all of them).
We have a hybrid work culture and this role will be based in our SF HQ office 3x per week.
About the role
This GTM Strategy position will be key to OneSchema’s business strategy and entrusted with a high level of ownership. This is an opportunity to have a massive impact on OneSchema. As the founding GTM Strategy member you will define what the function means here as we scale the business. You will work closely with our co-founder and CEO on cracking the core messaging challenges to strengthen our product-market fit. This is a highly cross-functional role that will require close collaboration with the product engineering sales and marketing teams. You’ll tackle strategic problems that are core to the success of the business:
- Explaining OneSchema pain points use cases and value propositions to prospective customers
- Messaging OneSchema’s key features and differentiation
- Refining our ICP and identifying buying intent signals
- Competitor analysis & positioning
- Segmenting our customer base to inform targeted messaging pricing and packaging
- Owning brand marketing and website content

You'll work with our world-class Product Engineering Design and Sales teams to drive the adoption of OneSchema’s industry-leading data import platform. The ability to operate autonomously is an absolute must. With this level of autonomy you’ll have the chance to learn in one week what it would take months to learn elsewhere.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional launches that grab market attention and unlock new revenue opportunities
- Work hand-in-hand with Product and Engineering to inform product development and marketing strategy based on actionable data-driven insights
- Build engaging assets that educate customers about our products and build OneSchema’s brand within our customer base (including our website case studies sales & marketing collateral)
- Equip our sales teams with the tools for effective positioning against competitors
- Partner with demand generation to design content and campaign strategies that grow awareness and drive new leads
- Create holistic product positioning and messaging informed by user research and product expertise
- Be the voice of the buyer to inform product strategy and selling motions through market research customer conversations and joining sales calls
- Stay current on industry trends competitors and partnership opportunities and refining strategies
- Create content and a content strategy that engages a developer community
- Coordinate and engage in events like conferences and webinars representing our company and product
Who you are
- 4+ years of work experience at a top company in a GTM or consulting role preferred. However we are open to candidates from a broad range of backgrounds
- You’ve seen early stage companies. You know how to be the first on the ground and make it work
- You are ambitious and hungry. You want to propel your career by joining a high-growth startup
- You have extraordinary customer empathy. The answers to our questions can’t be found in an analyst study; they’ll come from unpacking what we hear directly from customers
- You’re an self-motivated action-oriented self-starter with a love of learning the ins and outs of how a product works and a growth mindset driving you to roll up your sleeves to make things happen
- You’re scrappy and aren’t afraid of making mistakes. You iterate quickly until you find what works.
- You have excellent critical + first principles thinking skills attention to detail and can ask the right questions to get at deep customer insights
- You have a genuine curiosity that leads you not just to the “what” but the “why”
- You can craft compelling messaging to technical buyers like engineering and product leaders

For this role the estimated base salary range is between $120-$180k. Base salaries are just one component of the total compensation package and are determined by a number of factors such as years of experience expertise qualifications and more. In addition to base salary we offer competitive equity packages health dental and 401(k) contributions that play a big part in recognizing you for the huge impact you will have on helping us achieve our mission.
