FP&A Analyst

About the role:

Forter is looking for a highly motivated Analyst to join its Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) team. The FP&A team manages short- and long-term planning and partners with the business to analyze opportunities and support P&L management. 

Reporting directly to the Manager of FP&A, the FP&A Analyst will be primarily involved in analyzing and reporting historical company performance, developing short- and long-term P&L and cash forecasts, and supporting management and investor reporting packages. Additional activities will include support to cross-functional business partners as well as other finance teams such as Business Intelligence (“BI”), Treasury, Investor Relations, and Accounting. 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can execute deliverables independently, has careful attention to data integrity, can think analytically about key company value drivers, and is comfortable working with large data sets. Additionally, the ideal candidate enjoys contributing to a small team and is excited to work in a dynamic and fast-paced scale-up environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Analyze financial performance and identify trends, opportunities, and risks to inform leadership 
• Assist in the development of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages including board and investor presentations
• Develop financial models to support forecasting and ad hoc analysis
• Support tracking of key KPIs and contribute to the development and testing of new KPI definitions
• Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to support department leaders
• Help craft answers and a deep understanding of business performance over time, which will support senior finance leadership and investor relations
• Partner with the accounting team to ensure data integrity in financial analyses and support day-to-day operations of finance

What you'll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-3 years professional experience in financial planning & analysis or related experience
• Experience in the finance department of a public company is a plus
• Ability to think critically about a business and understand the key value drivers 
• Ability to analyze large data sets, infer and communicate key takeaways
• Master in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with Netsuite and visualization tools such as Tableau, Qliksense or similar system preferred
• Strong attention to detail, with dedication and ownership over quality of deliverables
• Collaborative, positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Salary Range: $98,000 - $132,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefits
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, and skill level.
