The role

As a UI designer you will be crafting numerous UI designs & design systems, across a variety of platforms, for clients across different industries.

• Uncover market best practices in user interface design and latest technology trends.
• Transform established brand & visual identity systems, into user interfaces & design systems that follow best practices and accessibility guidelines.
• Be a UI expert in all matters relating to various industries, web & app, usability and accessibility.
• Effectively communicate and present your designs & solutions to various international stakeholders.
• Provide UI mentorship to more junior team members.
• Craft compelling prototypes to be used for usability tests & convincing clients.
• Work closely with the development team for design delivery & specifications.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years experience in interface design
• Detail-oriented with strong knowledge of interaction and visual design as well as familiarity with information architecture; experience designing for all kinds of platforms and devices.
• Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, New Media, HCI, or other relevant degrees.
• Experience with a variety of design tools such as, Figma, Adobe CC suite and prototyping experience.
• Experience and expertise in developing and deploying design systems at scale.
• Excellent understanding of accessibility standards for UI designs, specifically AODA/WCAG
• Systems thinking: Able to tackle complex, interconnected challenges and use design to both communicate that complexity and prototype interventions that provide clarity and simplicity.
• Experience of HTML/CSS/JS to understand development strains is a plus.
• Passion for design: Able to distinguish between ‘good’ and ‘great’ and are able to not only identify best practices, but push boundaries and explore new territory.

** In New York City, the hourly rate for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100 to $125 per hour. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications
