French Pastry Chef/ Morning Baker

We are a French Bakery and Bistro dedicated to serving one-of-a-kind desserts and coffee to a loyal fan base-we specialize in providing an authentic experience and superb customer service. $18/hr salary based on experience. Job Duties/Responsibilities: • Assist with pastry preparation, production, and presentation activities • Decorate pastries, cakes, and other baked goods • Able to do fondant work • Manage pastry station for optimum production and quality • Record food spoilage; update chefs of any spoiled goods • Prepare market list according to daily food orders • Order and stock food products in coolers and freezers according to food storage standards • Ensure stock rotation to minimize waste • Adhere to sanitation, cleanliness, health, and safety regulations • Ensure kitchen equipment and supplies are clean and sanitized • Interact with guests, receive their feedback, make note of their compliments and complaints • Morning Baker Requirements: • One year of baking experience preferred • Excellent communication skills; ability to interact with customers and staff on a daily basis • Precise eye for detail • Strong organizational and time management skills • Confident culinary techniques and skills • Outstanding problem-solving skills • Ability to work full-time, including early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays • Ability to work independently and under pressure • Food Handlers License preferred • Must be able to provide a portfolio of creative work for consideration Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $62,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Employee discount • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • Austin, TX 78727 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Austin, TX 78727: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
