Front-End/Full-Stack Software Engineer - Mapping

SafeAI is seeking a highly capable front-end/ full-stack developer to develop tools for mapping, visualization, data processing, and analytics to enable the development and deployment of our autonomous vehicle software stack.

 

Key Responsibilities

● End-to-End Software Development: Participate in all stages of the software development including deployments.

● Data Visualization & Editing Tool Development: Design and maintain tools for interactive visualization and editing, focusing on usability and optimization for diverse data sets including geospatial use cases.

● Feature Development & Enhancement: Contribute to the creation of new product features and refine existing functionalities, ensuring they're aligned with user feedback and modern development standards.

● Collaborative Teamwork: Work in tandem with cross-functional teams,

● Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest in software development trends, tools, and best practices, applying this knowledge to daily tasks and team collaborations.

● Technical Problem Solving: Leverage experience to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

● Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that software developments are in line with business objectives and user needs.

 

Qualifications:

● B.S. in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent.

● 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing applications.

● Minimum 5 years of experience with React.

● Minimum 3 years of experience with any of the backend technologies.

● Minimum 2 years of experience with MySQL or MongoDB.

● Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.

● Experience with UI Frameworks besides Bootstrap.

● Experience with REST API design and implementation.

● Must have experience with HTML5 Canvas OR SVG editing using HTML5.

● (preferred) Experience with map libraries like Leaflet, Mapbox GL JS, or OpenLayers.

● (preferred) Understanding of geo-data formats like GeoJSON, KML, and GPX.

● (preferred) Experience with geographic projections such as web-Mercator image tiles, WGS84, and S2 geometry.

● (preferred) Experience with designing, developing, and implementing interactive 3D web applications using Three.js library and other related technologies, such as WebGL, and GLSL.

● Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

The base salary range for this position is $110K - $150K per year. SafeAI’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
