As a Frontend Engineer at Upwards, you’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional services to our users.

In This Role, You Will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (backend engineers, designers, and product managers) to deliver new features and enhance existing ones.
• Write clean, scalable code using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), React, and TypeScript.
• Maintain and improve frontend codebases for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Resolve operational issues to ensure smooth system performance and user experience.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and JSON to create dynamic features.
• Optimize web pages for responsiveness, SEO, and cross-device compatibility.
• Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions as needed.
• Work within an agile team to deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions.

You'll excel at this role if you:

• Have 3+ years of experience building modern web applications using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Have experience with React for building component-driven UIs.
• Are comfortable writing type-safe code using TypeScript.
• Have worked with jQuery or have experience maintaining or refactoring legacy code.
• Understand RESTful APIs, JSON integration, and building SEO-friendly web applications.
• Have worked with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Jest, React Testing Library), and application monitoring tools (e.g., Sentry, Datadog).
• Have experience with PHP or are willing to work with PHP-based backend services.
• Take pride in writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Enjoy collaborating with teams and documenting processes.
• Are proactive in learning about new frontend trends and best practices.
• Are passionate about solving real-world problems, particularly in marketplaces.
• Have experience with Automated Acceptance/Functional Testing.

• 3rd Interview: Hiring Manager Interview
• 4th Interview: Final Interview with various members of the Upwards Team
