Frontend Engineer

As a frontend engineer at Formant, you will be building everything from real-time robot remote control interfaces and advanced 3d visualizations through to configuration and billing pages. This is a domain in which the final form of tooling has yet to be invented, and you will be part of that process.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing interactive user interfaces.
• You care about user experience. We’re trying to make something complex more intuitive.
• Top notch CSS skills. We care about beautiful experiences.
• Expert in React. We don’t do anything too esoteric but we like being organized.
• Expert in Typescript. We build big code bases.
• Some familiarity with 3D and ThreeJS. We make some awesome 3D experiences.
• Linux & Git familiarity. Know your way around a command line.

Bonus Qualifications

• WebRTC is a huge plus.
• Interested in mad science with robots. No need to be a robot expert though.
• WebAssembly, Rust, and other new tech that should be increasingly applied to robotics.
