Overview:
We are looking for a experienced and capable software engineer who can integrate open-sourced ERP & inventory data with custom browser-based UI tooling. The ideal candidate has well rounded knowledge and experience across the full-stack of web development including: performance-minded front-end development, automated testing + devtools, and light-weight back-end web-servers with SQL database interfacing. The candidate would work on a small team that drives an iterative effort to quickly meet internal demand for business UI/tooling with MVP, evaluate early feedback, then holistically improve on and formalize UIs to promote efficient ERP workflows.

Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Design UI components and workflows for tabular data, telemetry, inventory tracking, test procedures, label-makers, debug-panels, etc.
• Study existing applications and the user-experience to identify improvements
• Evaluate how existing ERP data can be rendered to inform or accelerate workflows.
• Evaluate what datashouldbe recorded in ERP to achieve desired workflows.
• Write automated tests against encoded business logic and common library code
• Measure front-end performance to guide architecture decisions
• Investigate issues discovered by both developers and users
• Make technical presentations to project staff
• Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assignments
Skills:
• Typescript w/JSX, Python, (C & Zig experience is a plus)
• Experience with dev-ops and build-tools.
• Fundamental understanding of HTML, CSS, and the DOM: working in vanilla or minimalist frameworks.
• Basic understanding of network protocols: Ethernet, TCP/IP, HTTP
• Familiarity with GNU/Linux command-line tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Willingness to learn
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar.
• 3+ years job experience or relevant portfolio of work
Due to ITAR and/or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or other U.S. person per 22 CFR § 120.62.
Hours:Full-time, Monday through Friday.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
