Full Stack Developer (Next.js / Generative AI)

Job Overview Small software consulting firm looking for aMid- to Senior-Level Full Stack Developerwith a passion for building AI-powered applications. This is a3-month temporary-to-hireopportunity — ideal for someone eager to prove their skills on real-world projects with the potential to transition to a long-term role. Required onsite in Philadelphia office 1 day a week. You’ll join acollaborative, forward-thinking teamwhere you’ll help design and deliver scalable, secure, and innovative AI-driven solutions supporting the legal industry. Duties • Build and maintainNext.js/Reactapplications usingTypeScriptandTailwind CSS. • Develop and integrateGenerative AI workflowsincluding AI Agents, MCP, and RAG pipelines. • Create and optimizeRESTful and GraphQL APIsto support AI-driven features. • Work withSQL Serverand other relational databases to manage structured data securely. • Implementvector searchandembeddingsfor knowledge retrieval and personalization. • Collaborate in anAgile environment— participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. • Debug, test, and fine-tune applications forperformance, scalability, and security. • Stay up to date onemerging AI tools, frameworks, and best practicesto keep projects ahead of the curve. Qualifications • Strong experience withNext.js, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS. • Solid back-end knowledge usingNode.js/ExpressandSQL Server. • Hands-on experience withGenerative AI development, including: • Designing and deployingAI Agents. • ImplementingRAG pipelineswith vector databases. • LeveragingMCPfor multi-model orchestration. • Familiarity withcloud platforms(Azure or AWS) for deploying applications and AI services. • Understanding ofsecure application design, includingRBAC. • Comfortable working in aWindows environment. • Bonus:Experience with embeddings,OpenAI API,Agents SDK,LlamaIndex, or other modern AI frameworks. • Preferred:Prior experience working withlegal technology, law firms, or professional services. Experience withPHP.
