Full Stack Engineer – NYCopportunity with a YC-backed seed stage startup ($5M raised at a $40M valuation) on a mission to make expert, personalized healthcare accessible globally. The company’s unique chat-based, asynchronous healthcare model bridges the gap between world-class physicians and patients anywhere in the world. The company is seeking aFull Stack Engineerwith strongTypeScriptandNode.jsskills to join the core team. This is a true0→1 role—high ownership, high impact, and high ambiguity—ideal for someone eager to shape both the product and the technical foundation of the company. Key Responsibilities: • Architect, build, and maintain backend services inTypeScriptandNode.js, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. • Design and implement distributed systems, leveragingGCP servicesfor core infrastructure. • Own data modeling and persistence layers, with deep experience inPostgres. • Build and maintainfault-tolerant workflows(experience withTemporalis a significant plus). • Collaborate directly with founders to turn vision into product reality in a fast-paced, high-agency environment. • Establish engineering best practices, including testing, observability, and deployment pipelines. Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science from atop 50 CS university(or equivalent academic/professional track record). • Strong expertise inTypeScriptandNode.js. • Proven experience building and maintaining distributed systems in production. • Significant experience withGCPinfrastructure and services (AWS ok but need to be willing to learn GCP). • Deep understanding ofPostgresschema design, optimization, and operations. • Ability to thrive in high-ambiguity, early-stage environments, with a track record of end-to-end ownership. Nice to Have: • Experience withTemporalor similar workflow orchestration tools. • Previous startup or founding team experience. • Exposure to healthcare technology, data privacy, or compliance.
