Full stack Senior Software Engineer / React / AWS

Description Hiring for a Full stack Engineer with the role being more focused on Frontend (75/25). You will need to reside within a 50-mile radius of Plano, TX. Required React and AWS experience. You will work collaboratively on a geographically diverse agile team to develop and enhance complex systems and/or software from user stories and technical/architectural specifications. In this role you will: • Work in an agile environment to develop creative solutions for our claims product. • Accelerate speed to market by addressing current product needs and developing long-term strategic solutions using technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and other potential backend languages. • Utilize cloud services and tools, including AWS, Cloud Foundry, and CDNs like Akamai. • Demonstrate proficiency in multiple object-oriented and functional programming languages. • Build and implement RESTful services. • Employ an open-minded and collaborative approach to create innovative technical solutions. • Analyze technical system problems to design and implement effective, flexible solutions. • Handle end-to-end development, including coding, testing, and debugging in each development cycle. • Develop automated tests across multiple scopes, including unit, system, integration, and regression testing. • Mentor new and junior developers. • Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvementQualifications • A minimum of five years of software engineering experience • A background in business operations and strategies, with a focus on business IT • A history of translating client requirements into technical designs • Agile engineering capabilities and a design-thinking mindset • Collaboration, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to manage time and prioritize work with a globally distributed development team • Strong oral and written communication skills - and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers • A thorough grasp of IT concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards, shared software concepts and layered solutions and designs • Proficiency in software engineering languages and tools, including Java and RESTful services, spanning horizontal and vertical packages • An understanding of how modifications affect different parts of a system and an ability to explain your decision-making process to non-engineers • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experienceAbout Us Pay Philosophy:The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location.
