Goal:To ensure that the agency is being kept in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with established safety and sanitary standards. Principle Duties and Responsibilities(included, but are not limited to): • Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, offices, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and other areas so that health standards are met. • Building floors must be swept, mopped, scrubbed and vacuumed – once a month, strip and seal floors. • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures • Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners sponges and squeegees. • Dust furniture, walls machines and equipment. • Drive vehicles to other sites as required for other cleaning projects. • Follow procedures for the use of chemical • Gather and empty trash. • Polish furniture and fixtures. • Clean all glass and mirrors. • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. • Perform walkthrough to determine the need for repairs or maintenance to building. • Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways and parking areas using a snow blower and shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals. • Keep storage area clean and organized and cleaning cart well stocked. Essential Skills and requirements: -High School or GED; -One plus years of experience as a housekeeper. - Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures utilized in housekeeping. -Must be able to lift 25lb.
