About us We are an independent pharmacy in La Mesa that focuses on hospice, board and care, group homes, and few walk-ins. Our goal is to help customers throughout San Diego through great customer service and medication education. Job Title: Full-Time Pharmacist (40 hours/week) Benefits: No weekends or holidays, Health, Life, & Disability Insurance, Simple K Plan after probationary period Schedule: 8:30am to 5:00pm License: Active California RPh Licensure Education: PharmD Location: In Person We are looking for a pharmacist to work 5 days per week in a retail setting that focuses on prescription delivery throughout San Diego. A pharmacist who can fulfill the following duties/ possesses the following attributes is highly preferred. DUTIES - Verifies and fills orders - Evaluates patient med profiles - Provides accurate drug information - Identifies drug interactions/risks - Documents patient or doctor interactions when necessary and appropriate - Directs and supervises team - Advises affiliated hospice and home health agencies with appropriate drug recommendations - Receives and processes orders in a timely manner - Performs other job-related duties as assigned - Counsels walk-In patients on every new or change in medication directions/strengths - Contacts customers regarding drug interactions or prescription order delays - Actively ensures that medication therapy is efficacious, safe, cost effective, and achieves the best therapeutic outcomes. - Oversight and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy QUALIFICATIONS - Fast and efficient pharmacist that works to meet daily goals - Finds purpose in helping customers that rely on our service - Is comfortable receiving and verifying narcotic hospice orders - Hospice and/or home health care experience highly looked upon, but is not required - Willing to be trained and advised on hospice procedures and laws - Self-motivated professional who brings a positive attitude to the environment - Knowledge of laws governing OTCs, pharmacy products, and 3rd party plans Contact: Send resume to - Pharmacy Owner through Indeed.
