Position Summary

MemorialCare Medical Foundation is looking for an experienced full-time Nurse Practitioner to work at MemorialCare Medical Group's urgent care clinic in Costa Mesa, CA. This is a full-time, benefited position with a 3 x 12 schedule. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

General Duties:

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Formulate a differential diagnosis and establish a working diagnosis
• Implement therapeutic intervention for specific conditions requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising physician or other healthcare professionals
• Must have 3-5 years of experience in urgent care setting
• Proficient in the following procedures - casting, incision & drainage, suture, skin biopsy, toenail removal, simple cyst/warts removal, etc.
• EMR NextGen – Prior experience with NextGen +
• Working 3x12 shifts, will rotate through the weekend hours as well. Weekend shifts are 9-hour days.

Qualifications:

• Must have completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current, active, unrestricted licensure as an NP
• Working experience with NextGen system highly preferred
• Licensed to practice in California
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• DEA number
