Bon Secours Mercy Health has expanded its footprint and is seeking dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistants to join our Urgent Care team in Richmond, Virginia. This full-time and PRN float position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As part of our urgent care team, you will manage a wide range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries, working alongside a supportive staff that includes medical assistants and front-office team members. Our urgent care clinics are open 7 days per week, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., giving providers the opportunity to pick up shifts that align with their availability and lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care for walk-in patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of urgent care needs
• Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, I&D, and wound care as appropriate
• Collaborate with medical assistants and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent service
• Provide patient education and ensure clear communication around care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic EMR)

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in Virginia
• Active DEA license 
• Two years of active experience
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Work Hours:
