Furniture Maker

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and carpentry, with the ability to create high-quality furniture pieces from various materials. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, fabrication, and the use of both hand and power tools. The Furniture Maker will work closely with designers and clients to bring their visions to life while ensuring that all pieces meet our high standards of craftsmanship. Responsibilities • Construct furniture pieces according to specifications and design plans. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. • Perform trim carpentry, frame carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation as needed. • Ensure quality control throughout the manufacturing process by inspecting finished products for defects or inconsistencies. • Collaborate with team members on projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to design specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols on the construction site. • Assist in restoration projects including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and other related tasks as required. Requirements • Proven experience in woodworking, carpentry, or a related field. • Strong skills in construction estimating, construction painting, plastering, masonry, and concrete forming are preferred. • Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus. • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks. • Knowledge of metal stud framing, siding installation, roofing techniques, and flooring installation is advantageous. • Experience with rebar installation and tile laying is beneficial. • Previous experience in the restoration industry is desirable. • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
