FX Artist-Houdini

• Creation of visual effects following the established visual 3D effects style, working from 2D and 3D visual development reference.
• Work from and interpret storyboards and animatics to create high-quality dynamic effects animation while maintaining strong shot-to-shot continuity.

OPERATIONAL:

• Bachelor degree in Animation, Film, Art or equivalent professional work experience.
• Working knowledge of particle, fluid, dust, destruction, smoke, fire, cloth and environmental simulations.
• Link to Demo Reel/Portfolio showcasing 3D effects work done in recent years.
• Working knowledge of dynamic effects animation in Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Renderman, and Arnold. Experience with other programs a plus.
• Knowledge of Python/Mel.
