FX Operations Specialist – FX Trade Initiation position is in the areas of confirmation (including account opening and investigations), settlement (including SSI updates and CLS settlements), trade initiation, FXSI, or NDF documentation within Foreign Exchange Services.
The BBH FX Services Team within Service Delivery provides global support for the FX Trading, Securities Lending and Mutual Fund Services activities of the Firm. The FX Services Team maintains staff coverage in regional locations in NY, London, Krakow, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
This position is part of the FX Services team and will perform support functions across disciplines with particular emphasis placed on supporting our Japan FX client base.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transaction Processing
- Support the Japan FX activities as it pertains to FX Trade Support, Confirmation and Settlement functions
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions related to FX Products
- Responsibilities include trade entry, cash balance checks and payment nettings
- Develop subject matter expertise on different front to back trade flows with focus on Japanese Trust Banks model
Quality Control/ Assurance
- Ensure daily output standards, both quality and timeliness, are met
- Assist management in ensuring proper product delivery, proper escalation and resolution of high exposure items, maintaining the proper balance of cost, control and client service (3Cs), and maintaining proper standards and controls
- Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving workflow issues
- Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure, both internally and externally
- Ensure adherence to all established policies, procedures and controls
- Identify potential process gaps and ensure proper review controls are in place to mitigate risk.
- Review process and procedures to insure they keep up with the addition of new programs.
 Client Service
- Partner with all groups where FX Services has a presence including New York, London, Krakow, Tokyo and Hong Kong to provide consistent operational support across FX products
- Handle client inquiries in effective and timely manner
- Be familiar with department, firm and industry initiatives affecting our clients
- Gain sufficient knowledge to anticipate questions and/or issues raised by our clients
- local Client Service Group (CSG), Relationship Manager (RM) and FX Relationship Manager (FXRM) in managing client queries and escalations
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA degree
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize volume
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proactive approach to daily work and ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Appropriate client communication skill in both spoken and written with strong client service mindset
- MS Office proficiency required-included MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.
