Game Design Intern (Unannounced Project)

Location: Guildford, UK  

Format: on-site (minimum of 3 days per week working from the office)

Overview 

Join our team of professionals as we prepare our brand new live-service, F2P unannounced game.  

If you have a passion for gaming, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, this is your chance to shine in a crucial role that directly impacts the design of our games. You will work closely with experienced professionals and play an integral part in bringing our upcoming game title to audiences worldwide! 

What will you do? 

• Assist in the design and implementation of player-facing gameplay elements such as player and enemy abilities, missions and progression systems 

• Create and maintain design documentation pertaining to your work, obtaining an understanding of the needs the design addresses and getting buy-in from stakeholders across multiple streams 

• Coordinate across multiple disciplines and working groups to deliver high-quality work 

 What are we looking for? 

• Well-rounded knowledge of popular games on PC, console and mobile 

• Experience in game development projects (including game jams, personal or educational projects) 

• Knowledge of the Unreal Engine 

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 

• Proactive problem-solving attitude and good communication skills 

• A passion for creating fun player experiences 

What will help you stand out? 

• Love of games, especially shooter and action games 

• Knowledge of software development life cycle 

• Knowledge of Unity or other game creation tools
