Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Physician Assistant to provide medical services in collaboration with our Gastroenterology physicians in our 95th Street Manhattan medical office. Prior expertise in this area of medicine is required.

Join us in pursuit of high-quality patient care to provide a full scope of services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced Gastroenterology assessment of patient, documenting pertinent findings.
• Initiates, performs and interprets diagnostic tests and/or endoscopic procedures.
• Systematically compares and contrast clinical diagnostic findings with normal and abnormal variations in making differential diagnoses.
• Identifies expected outcomes that incorporate evidence-based practice
• Designs strategies to meet the multifaceted needs of complex patients
• Selects therapeutic interventions that reflect current clinical judgment.
• Evaluates diagnoses and the effectiveness of the interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Prescribes treatments, therapy procedures, and medications in accordance with New York State and federal law.
• Consider the patients comprehensive overall health needs with integrated delivery of patient care.
• Collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care of patients.
• Perform other job-related duties as required. Staff educational programs and meetings.

Salary Range 150-165K Annually

This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business considerations. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the work is being performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. Union roles covered by a collective bargaining agreement will compensate in accordance with the union contract.
