Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize improvisation and theatrical performance techniques while performing all duties, including physical participation while greeting, escorting, providing clear directions, and supporting pre & post-show Meet and Greets to all customers of the show
- Interact with other improvisational "Gatekeepers" and performers in a constructive, non-competitive manner to achieve maximum entertainment value to the customers
- Understand and incorporate aesthetic feedback, performance notes, and processional coaching from theater leadership
- Ensure customer expectations are met while maintaining the aesthetic environment in delivering superior customer service and actively participating in theater safety
- Assist the performance through the accurate and timely preset and execution of production cues throughout the theater including the placement, retrieval, management, and handoff of props, escorting pre-selected and ad hoc audience participants during the show, prepping the house during changeover between performances
- Maintain awareness of all the property restaurants, services, shows, events and property amenities
- Keep leadership apprised of all unusual situations, customer concerns, and other irregularities as required
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information
- Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:
- One (1) year of improvisational theatre background and/or equivalent education with a major in theatre
- One (1) year of front of house experience and/or usher experience in a theatrical environment
- Front of house experience in a theatrical environment
- Experience presetting and executing cues
- Experience working in a similar resort setting
