Job description
As a key member of our dynamic team you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional software experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and implementation of innovative features fine-tuning and sustaining existing code for optimal performance and guaranteeing top-notch quality through rigorous testing and debugging. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do and you’ll be working closely with fellow developers architects and product managers to ensure our software aligns seamlessly with user expectations. This role requires great presentation self-organizing skills and the ability to work well within a globally distributed cross-functional team in a fast paced and exciting environment. You need to be comfortable with developing a new software offering where some requirements are still being refined. The work can be varied flexibility to learn new technologies and skills is key as we look to help grow your career within IBM. A positive attitude and a passion to succeed is essential in joining a high performing software development team at IBM Expertise.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5+ years of experience developing backend applications
- Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn understand and work quickly with new emerging technologies methodologies and solutions.
- Provides ongoing technical/operational guidance to lead professional work teams and conducts special projects.
- Utilizes expertise to directly influence people outside department or function. Sometimes no precedent exists
- Experience in Python Java Bash and Golang
- REST API
- Microservices Experience – Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Experience in highly distributed global cloud-based systems.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Exposure toe Agile methodology
