General Accountant With GAAP Knowledge

Location:Santee, CA Position:Full-time Job Description: We are seeking aStaff Accountantwith solid experience in QuickBooks and a strong foundation in fundamental accounting concepts (debits, credits, assets, liabilities, etc.). The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring our books are accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks. • Manage bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. • Support audits and tax preparation with proper documentation and record-keeping. • Apply fundamental accounting concepts (debits, credits, assets, liabilities) to ensure transactions are recorded correctly. • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights when needed. Qualifications: • Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping, particularly with QuickBooks. • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, assets, liabilities, etc.). • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Compensation: • Salary Range:$55,000-65,000 annually, depending on experience. • Competitive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan options.
