Job Summary: The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a skilled and dedicated General Surgeon to join our team in Reno, Nevada. As a General Surgeon at the VA, you will provide comprehensive surgical care to our nation's veterans, performing a range of procedures to treat injuries, diseases, and deformities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct outpatient and inpatient surgical consultations.
• Perform a variety of general surgical procedures.
• Collaborate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure best patient outcomes.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research, as applicable.
• Educate and mentor surgical residents and medical students.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship or legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery.
• A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
