General Worker / Security Guard

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard / General Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Guard will be tasked with monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. You will also be tasked with daily general work when security is not needed as this would be based on traffic and week day. This job will require relocating to Houston, TX. Responsibilities • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. • Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required and assist in investigations as needed. • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property. • Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations. • Complete general tasks when not performing security activity around the business. Experience • Previous experience in security is preferred but not mandatory. • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable, not mandatory. • Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques is an advantage. • Military experience may be beneficial for understanding security protocols and discipline. • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of people.
