DESCRIPTION
Position Description:
- Provide professional support and services for the Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
- Review, analyze, and interpret various GFEBS financial documents and reports, against established financial metrics.
- Provide on-site GFEBS support for daily business operations and outlining GFEBS processes.
- Perform help desk functions by responding to GFEBS processes assistance, recommend solutions according to regulations and guidance.
- Troubleshooting GFEBS problem areas to find solutions and temporary workarounds.
Key tasks:
GFEBS Support:
1. Directly assist users learning how to create transactions and reports in GFEBS.
2. Create, update and maintain GFEBS Job Aids to serve as an enterprise-specific reference guide for processes and procedures in GFEBS.
3. Maintain in-house GFEBS help desk capability.
4. Assist in identifying and correcting systems errors between GFEBS and other DOD systems and tools used by the Enterprise within 72 hours of inquiry.
5. Assist in resolving issues including identifying, maintaining and making user role assignment changes resulting from: job changes, responsibility shifts or role changes among end users and managers, and/or organizational restructurings.
6. Provide direct support to assist users create, process, and track individual transactions in GFEBS as needed.
7. Provide direct assistance to the customer to resolve problem transactions, including submission of help desk tickets to the GFEBS Help Desk and performing additional research.
Requirements
- Security Clearance Required
- In-depth knowledge of GFEBS with a general understanding of Army accounting processes and legacy accounting systems.
- Expert knowledge on Plant Maintenance, Procurement, and Real Property.
- Ability to format reports and analyze BI/ECC data into useful information for tracking financial operations.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree; significant relevant experience maybe considered in lieu of degree.
