GIS ANALYST - SENIOR

JOB SUMMARYIncumbents perform complex professional duties in support of City's enterprise GIS databases and geographic information systems capabilities; imports, integrates, extracts and analyzes data for a variety of decision support purposes; develops trend analysis and forecasting models; designs, develops and maintains data layers and data sets. Incumbents must have full technical knowledge of all phases of GIS systems analysis, configuration and programming. Also has duties instructing, directing and checking the work of GIS Technicians. May manage small IT/GIS projects and associated staff.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, GIS or Computer Science and three years of related information technology experience in assigned area; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description.
